Tandem Test Line
Técnicas Reunidas de Automoción, S.A., continuing its strong commitment within R+D+i, has developed the Tandem Inspection Lane. The lane contains of a side slip tester as an initial step, then a tandem brake tester and suspension tester.
The tandem is composed of two pairs of benches for the brake test and the suspension test; one fixed and one mobile that adjusts automatically to the specific distance between the axles of the vehicle to be tested. The positioning is very accurate with a transducer that constantly sends the position of the mobile base to the electronics control and management unit of the machine.
It also has a pneumatic system of retention of the vehicle that gives greater stability and therefore greater safety for the braking test. With this revolutionary line of inspection, and a proper management of the flow of vehicles, it is possible to reduce the test time in more than 50%, and consequently increase the productivity of the inspection lane in more than 100%. This time saving is due to the decrease in the number of placements of the vehicle in testing machines.
